Here are the readings that you

- Parker et al.: This is
an interesting paper about the sorry state of the weather
balloon network in tropical Africa.
Here is the paper without any markings on it, and
here is the same thing
after I marked it up. To provide you with some
guidance about how to read a journal article, I've posted
this handout.
- Also read Chapter 3 of
McGregor and Nieuwolt. If you are struggling with this
reading, try Chapter 2 of the Buckle textbook (on reserve
with our administrative assistant.)

There is no class on Monday,
September 7 due to the observance of Labor Day. In
addition, this class is canceled on Wednesday, September 9 in
accordance with the Creighton College of Arts and Sciences'
policy of not holding classes during the celebration of the Mass
of the Holy Spirit.
